Girls Football 8.11.18

On Thursday 8th November, a group of 17 girls from Year 3 to Year 6 attended a football competition. The girls had been part of a lunchtime club leading up to the event to practise their skills and competitive football.

On competition day, the 7 girls who were part of the Year 3 and 4 team played three matches in the morning and four matches in the afternoon. They scored 7 goals in total which they were very happy with. They worked well as a team and were able to move into spaces to pass the ball.

The 8 girls from the Year 5 and 6 team played four matches in the morning and two matches in the afternoon. They came in 6th place out of 13 teams. They worked really well together and showed great sportsmanship with taking turns to go in goal. The girls had great ball control and were able to dribble up the pitch to score some fantastic goals.

The Toftwood team absolutely loved the day. They wanted to play football during their lunch and once all matches had finished! They made Mrs Rathi and Mrs Sugarman very proud with their outstanding behaviour throughout the day as well as showing great determination to keep going.

Well done!
