On Wednesday 27th of February, 15 children had the amazing opportunity to take part in the WNDSSP Dance show at the OPEN Norwich. The show is put together of different school ages and groups performing dances they have practised at school. The theme of this year’s show was ‘Music from the Movies’ and our children performed a dance to ‘better when I’m dancing’ from the Peanuts Movie. There was two live performances to big audiences (550 people attended the 7pm show!) and a chance to practice on the stage with music and lights in the morning. The children all took this long day in their stride and were very excited by the whole day!
The group of 15 children from Toftwood Infant were the youngest group in the show and we were all blown away with their confident performance and how much fun they all had. They were an excellent audience for the other groups, cheering them on and so proud and excited themselves when it was there to dance. It was a great opportunity for the children to feel like real stars on the big stage up in lights – and they definitely looked like stars dancing up there!
The children had worked hard at lunchtimes on the dance routine since spring 1 term and we are so proud of what they achieved. Their excellent behaviour was commented on by other schools and professionals there, as well as how much fun the children all had up on stage. We are so proud of all the children who took part and know they had the best time performing on the big stage to the live audiences! Well done again everyone, you were fabulous!
