Report for my child was fantastic. They have had a wonderful first year at school. Excited to go to school each day and learn and has made secure and happy friendships. The adults in their class have been nothing but kind, honest and supportive. They always respond to messages on dojo and have given our child they’re hand cream every day. Although these things sound small they take a lot of effort and passion and we really appreciate it. Our child has thrived this year, they have come out of their shell and is now confident at school. I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to my child’s teacher and TA for all the hard work and dedication they have provided this year. The amount of confidence which my child has gained this last academic year is such a lovely thing to see. They are excited to come to school now with no tears which I thought I’d never see. We would like to thank the staff for all the hard work they have done it is much appreciated....hopefully we will be with you all Monday morning on live video.
I would like to thank you and the all the other teachers that are organising all of the home learning. I think you are all doing a fantastic job, it must take quite a lot of organising. My child is really enjoying the home learning via teams, they are really missing going to school and seeing their friends so this is a great way to still see everyone.
Thank you for all the activities over the last few weeks, it’s been lovely being able to do some with my child and seeing them join in with the lessons!
Our child recently had to isolate as part of their bubble, and we just wanted to make you aware of how impressed we were at the quality of home learning provided.
They thoroughly enjoyed the home learning activities and we really appreciate the effort that went in to organising and planning this at such short notice. We felt that the tasks were pitched perfectly and actively engaged the children which is a challenge when working remotely! We particularly appreciate the time taken to provide additional phonics activities.
In what we are sure is a very challenging time for you all, we just wanted to express our thanks and gratitude.
A little late because life has been so hectic but just wanted to say a big thank you to you all. We were so pleased to read our child’s lovely, detailed report earlier in the term and hear how they have settled in. It is clear that they are really well supported and are enjoying all the learning activities that you provide. It is so lovely to see them making progress.
We are especially grateful for the home learning that you provided over the past two weeks. We both totally understand what a huge undertaking this is and were so impressed with how well organised it was. They absolutely loved it (especially sharing the news about their elf!) So once again, a huge thank you for your care of our child.
Thank you, our child has enjoyed the start of Nursery. They have shown us many things they have learnt and we have noticed a great change in them. Our child has come on really well in many ways.
Our child has really enjoyed Nursery and I fell it was the best thing we could have done for them. Our child is really prepared for Reception in September and we can’t thank all the staff enough.
In the summer holidays I will continue with shapes, numbers and the letters in their name.

We are very pleased with the comments in our child’s report and with how quickly they have settled in. Our child is always happy to go to Nursery and had started to tell us more about what they do in the day. We are very pleased with our son’s report. It is lovely to see how well he has settled in Reception. He is always keen to tell us what he has learnt and loves looking at things on Tapestry and showing us his friends. He loves to keep busy and has shown us at home how interested he has become in maths. He often asks for paper and pens to practice writing or just to write down as many numbers as possible. He also keeps testing us both with sums and likes us to do the same for him.
Our daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her first year at Infants. She is looking forward to moving up to Year 1 and learning new things.

We’ve been really pleased at how much his handwriting and reading has come on lately and he really enjoys doing bits and home to take into school. Most days on the way home he discusses the colour of the playdoh and this really has been his favourite activity this year. He has also really talked highly of all the visitors that have come into school. Thank you everyone’s help in supporting him this year.

Our son absolutely loves school. He always has something exciting and positive about his day, especially about Science or new facts he has learnt. We find he can be easily distracted at as he goes off on a tangent, but he worked really hard with the recent Science challenge. He seems to be correctly forming his d’s now but does muddle b/d in words sometimes. Thank you very much for all the support he has received this year.

We are really with how well he has got on in the subjects studied. We do feel that if he is not interested in a subject he doesn’t pay as much attention, so we would like him to try and concentrate more especially in mathematics, and we as his parents will try and implement this more at home.
We are very pleased with our daughter’s report, the fact she is exceeding expectations in her reading is brilliant. She tries so hard at home and half of the books she reads she does by herself in her room without us knowing!! She has done us very proud the way she has matured both at home and at school. I have noticed she has needed less help when on ‘my maths’ and only asking me to her answers – most were right anyway. I hope her confidence grows next year and she continues to make good progress.

Excellent report. Always good to read that our son is progressing well. He’s very excited to be starting Junior School soon and I hope he continues to thrive their too. He does love an information book! Science at home is high on his list too. We are currently trying to make a bouncy egg with one failed attempt and the next currently soaking in vinegar!
As parents we’re very happy with the report as we are aware of some difficulties that our child might have due to English not being her first language. As the teacher describes on the report, we can have a picture of what our child is like in school. Our child is a bright child that likes to help others and improve their own weaknesses and feel proud of their own opportunities as well as receiving positive comments from others. A big thank you to the amazing Teachers our child has had through their stay at Toftwood Infant School and team.
We have been so grateful for the safe environment. She has been so happy at school especially when at times her home life was difficult. I know she has loved being in her Teacher’s class. She has thrived! What a fantastic Teacher, a credit to the school. It’s wonderful to see amongst so many cuts in education a school run effectively for the children. A special thanks to the school receptionists who have had to put up with me asking repetitive questions!!

I am pleased with the progress my child has made this year.
It is wonderful to see how hard my child has worked in all subjects this year and how they are excelling in maths and science. We have been working hard on their spellings and reading at home and it is easy to forget about the other subjects when they are doing well and does not need as much help. I know they have enjoyed this year in their teacher’s class and I would like to thank them and the teaching assistants for all the help they have given them and for making the learning so enjoyable.
I am very happy with my child’s report. I am incredibly proud of them as a person as well as their attitude to learning. I like the fact they will relay relevant things they have learnt at school to me at home without me asking. Their handwriting is also far better than mine!
I am so pleased that you have seen the transformation in my child as we have done at home/outside of school. Wow. What a school report. You and your fellow classroom assistants have made my child’s year. They have loved every minute. Not once have they not been welcome in their class and they have grown throughout the year with a smile across their face. Every subject has improved and their maths keeps getting better all the time. Their confidence has grown and this was topped off when they ran at sports day, they never ran throughout Infant School always letting their emotions getting the better of them. This year they did, they ran well and controlled their emotions thanks to your understanding of them. We can only hope for a teacher in Year 4 who can inspire them like you and your classroom assistants.

Our child has thoroughly enjoyed their time in Year 5, particularly some of the extra-curricular activities they were lucky enough to join in with such as cricket, computer coding at Neatherd and the Ukulele Club Concert.
Our child has shown a real interest in history this year and has found their teacher very knowledgeable on this topic. They have made great progress this year and are looking forward to carrying on with their learning in Year 6!

Really happy with this report. My child has had a better term. They will miss Toftwood Junior. I’ve been very lucky as I’ve never had any problems with my child going to school. It was just the learning part they have had struggles with. Especially the homework part! However, they have always gone into school smiling and come out smiling. I can’t ask for much more. Thank you to all staff. I hope my child keeps all the memories they have had.

Thank you for our daughter’s report and for the support you have given her during her time in reception. It has been amazing to see how quickly she has developed since starting school and we have been very impressed with her progress, especially in reading, which she seems to have picked up so quickly. She certainly loves to read now, whether it’s books and magazines at home or signs and shop names while we’re out and about – she seems to want to read everything! Even at bedtime she prefers to read stories herself now, instead of having them to read to her. We have also seen her confidence grow, especially amongst other children, which started in pre-school, but has continued to improve during Reception. She now seems to make friends quite easily and it is great to hear that she is a friendly member of her class and that she is a good example to others. She certainly seems to have enjoyed her time in Reception – she always loves going to school, which is great. My daughter’s school report has made our family very proud. It was so lovely to hear she has come out of her shell and since school, her confidence has been amazing. I was so impressed to hear she has done so well in literacy and numeracy. I think phonics is so helpful as she is always sounding out words when we are out and about. I am truly grateful to the amazing teachers that have made this possible. She has had a fabulous year and her confidence has grown because of this support.

My daughter has enjoyed this year at school. She has been very enthusiastic in learning her phonics and reading. Often correcting her sister’s spellings! She is looking forward to Year 2, but she is a bit nervous. We are very pleased with her report; she is working hard and has also made good friendships.
