The Toftwood Infant and Junior School Playground Pals are made up of a group of children, from years 1 to 6, who volunteer to help their peers at playtimes. These children are voted in by their classmates every term and wear a bright orange tabard so that they can be easily seen on the playground.
The Playground Pals are an important part of school life. The children make the commitment to help encourage happy and sociable playtimes, starting group games and making sure that no child is feeling lonely or left out. They even fill out a contract to say that they will fulfil this role!
Everyone has the right to feel safe and happy in the playground and the main aim of our Playground Pals is to encourage that the Federation Golden Rules, and our PATHS rule are being followed at all times.
